My Holiday Wish For You 2016
This year my Canadian Christmas is blanketed with snow, just the way it should be.
As I reflect on the last year I look back on everything that has happened in my life, my business and my family. It's been a year of changes, a year of growth and a year of letting go. Much of it wasn't easy, necessary but not easy. Was it the same for you?
My holiday wish for you this year is that you find more peace. For me, peace comes in the stolen moments of solitude and silence when I can hear the whispers of my heart. Let go of all of my plans and worries just for a few precious minutes. And know with a certainty that reaches into the marrow of my bones that it will be okay. The more stolen moments I find the longer I can hold onto the peace throughout the day.
I wish for you more connection to the people who support you, who lift you up, who hold you accountable and who genuinely want to see you soar without any hidden agenda. More connection to the things that fill up your soul whether that's work or simply a chai latte or more spontaneous dancing around your living room (clothing optional ;) More connection to yourself as you continuously discover all the good, all the not-so-good and all that's hiding in between in the depths of your soul and cobwebs of your imagination.
I wish for you simple joy. To remember to marvel and wonder at something every day. Walking in nature. The kindness of a stranger. The tech that actually worked for once - hallelujah! Or the small child that has taken refuge in your lap. Smile more. The big moments are great. But don't miss the simple small ones.
I wish for you opportunities to grow. Soul-stretching, uncomfortable opportunities that allow you to learn what you most need to know. So you can live the life you were always meant to live.
Finally, I wish for you time to dream. And time to harvest your dreams. To nurture them into reality and create something new. Something only you could create. Not because it's the most original thing the planet has ever seen but because the idea chose you. And you heart begged you to create it. And you listened. And your creation, whatever it is, has the undeniable stamp of YOU on it. "There are no unique messages, only unique messengers." Jadah Sellner.
That's it! Merry Christmas and happy holidays. Whatever traditions you celebrate (or don't) enjoy the last few days of 2016 & I'll see you in the next year.
