If You're SO OVER Resolutions But You're Still Craving Direction. . .and Focus.

I have failed miserably when it comes to New Year’s Resolutions.

Mostly because they were motivated by some unspoken “should”s. You should lose weight/get healthier. You should save more money/make more money. You should organize and purge all the things. The lists went on. Year after year. Trying to will myself into being…different. And if you’ve ever bought a gym membership in January you know - willpower is a finite resource.

On the Road Again. . .

Last week I spent over 12 hours driving (16 + hours over 3 days sitting in the car). My sister and I got REALLY lost. Not in the that-was-a-fun-detour kinda way but in the it’s-10PM-and-where-the-hell-are-we kinda way. We ended up 1/2 way to Sudbury before we pulled over and conceded we were fo’ sure NOT where we were supposed to be.

Which got me thinking. . .

Should I Stay or Should I Go Now?

My love/ hate relationship with Facebook Groups.

We all know that participating in Facebook groups can be great for business. Showing up and adding value, demonstrating your knowledge, supporting and encouraging fellow entrepreneurs, soaking up the wisdom from people in different fields.

When it all goes well. . .it’s a powerful resource, a way to stay connected, discover people doing seriously cool shit, get fresh perspectives and serve without an agenda.

At one point I belonged to 100+ Facebook groups and I’ve run a couple as well (admittedly they were very small and for a very specific purpose).
